Operational Technology and Telecommunications
 
Welcome
The Operational Technology and Telecommunications (OTT) Department provides networking, security, telecommunications, wiring, and technical support for the Atlanta Public Schools (APS).
 
OTT furnishes support services to over 8,000 faculty and staff members. Services range from installing and repairing telephones, maintaining network connectivity, providing spam and virus filtering, providing a safe and secure networking environment, to server setup and configuration, desktop computer setup and configuration, and troubleshooting computer problems. OTT supports all of the academic computer labs and classroom computers which provide technology access to over 47,000 students throughout the Atlanta Public Schools System.
 
OTT Operations Team

About OTTThis team manages all tasks associated with the maintenance and restoration of District and Data Center hardware, operating systems, databases, and workstations. The team also provides production support for operational tasks for various departments within the District. They provide the coordination of all IT infrastructures as they relate to the current Data Center and school platforms.

 
 
OTT Network Team

This team manages all tasks associated with the maintenance and restoration of the APS Email, Network (LAN/WAN), Security, and Voice platforms. They monitor the infrastructure and ensure that any issues are properly addressed and corrected.

School Nutrition Services

HorizonHorizon Software manages the School Nutrition program including student free/reduced lunch eligibility and purchases. The software also facilitates meal planning and inventory management for our Cafeteria Managers. The student data in Horizon is automatically transferred from our student information system.
