Booker T. Washington High School of Health Science and Nutrition currently offers two career pathways: Therapeutic Services and Physical Medicine Pathway. This school year (2012-2013) Culinary Arts will be offered through a dual enrollment partnership with Atlanta Technical College. While attending Washington HSN students will identify one of the career pathways in which they will learn and be introduced to specific jobs that they could pursue in the future. Some careers include medicine, nursing, dentistry, culinary arts, and more. We are the 1st choice for parents and students interested in healthcare and nutrition. We are Booker T. Through a meticulously designed four year program of study, students will have the opportunity to:
  • Undergo a rigorous and relevant curriculum and receive in-depth instruction designed to ensure that all students meet the graduation requirements of the Atlanta Public Schools system while affording them multiple opportunities for postsecondary study.
  • Gain college credit through dual enrollment and advanced placement course
  • Explore career interest in various nutrition and health care-related fields
  • Gain invaluable knowledge, skills, and experiences through medical seminars, internships, and health science field trips.

  • Superintendent Search Committee community meetings

    The Superintendent Search Committee will hold community meetings at schools in every cluster. The purpose of the meetings is to obtain input regarding the profile for the next superintendent.  The meeting dates and locations are listed below. All meetings will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

     

    ·       May 15: North Region meetings will be held at Harper-Archer MS, the Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy and Sutton MS.

    ·       May 16: South Region meetings will be held at Long MS and Price MS.

    ·       May 20: West Region meetings will be held at Brown MS, Bunche MS and Young MS.

    ·       May 21: East Region meetings will be held at Inman MS and King MS.
