Usher-Collier Elementary's Hour of Code Celebrity Tech Chat!

Usher-Collier Elementary was is one of 9,419 schools nation-wide who have signed up the entire school to participate in Computer Science Education Week's "Hour of Code" event.  Of the 9,419 fifty lucky school won a Video Celebrity Tech Chat.  We are proud to announce that Usher-Collier is one of the fortunate schools to win this prestigious honor.
On Decemeber 9, 2013 Usher-Collier STEMRobotics students along with with eight other schools across the nation, had the opportunity to chat and ask a question of the computer mogul Gabe Newell, co-founder and managing director of video game development and online distribution company Valve.  Students in grades 2nd through 5th had an up close and personal opportunity to hear firsthand what it takes to be a computer programmer and learn about "code"!
