Note from the demographers: To enable us to identify the elementary, middle and high schools to which your comments apply, you must first identify the elementary attendance zone where you live or the zone which you are commenting on.  Please indicate only one school per session.  If you wish to comment on more than one school or attendance area, please complete this form, log out and then fill out a new comment form for each additional school you wish to comment on. (UPDATED FEBRUARY 15, 2012)

The following is a complete list of revisions/additions and updates that we have made to the Options A and B materials over the past week of February 6 - 14, 2012.  We would ask that APS add this material and replace the existing links as soon as you have had an opportunity to review.  The following is a brief description of each link.

Feeder Matrix: This memorandum presents and explains the two tables showing the proposed Options A and B feeder patterns from elementary through high school.  These are the tables that were attached to the display maps at the SRT meetings

Options Utilization Summary: This memorandum is new information that illustrates the effects of implementing Options A and B on balancing school utilization rates and student population counts within the proposed revised attendance zones.  The calculations factor in all proposed school closings and capacity additions and are based on current 2011-12 enrollment. Forecast data has not been incorporated at this time.

Meeting Presentations: The following links provide the Jan. 31- Feb. 2 SRT Community Meeting Presentations. These presentations have been updated with explanatory notes and include technical corrections to some of the data that was presented.  They should replace all earlier versions.

SRT 1 and 4 NW www.croppermap.com/documents/APSGASRT1_4CommunityMeetingPresentation1_31_12.pdf

SRT 2 www.croppermap.com/documents/APSGASRT2CommunityMeetingPresentation2_2_12.pdf

SRT 3 www.croppermap.com/documents/APSGASRT3CommunityMeetingPresentation1_30_12.pdf

SRT 4 NE www.croppermap.com/documents/APSGASRT4CommunityMeetingPresentation2_1_12.pdf

Options A and B Summary: This version revises and expands the memo that was prepared in advance of the community meetings and is currently posted on the web site. We advise replacing the existing link with this update – which includes the addition of the CSK/BEST Middle School attendance zones – as soon as possible.  That memo adds notes which better explain how boundary adjustments would be phased to coincide with capacity additions.

Updated Mapping: The following links contain updated maps which now include the CSK/BEST Middle School attendance zone boundary.  We have not had time to this point to draw CSK/BEST zones at the HS level and would suggest that a note be added to the web site above the links explaining that point and indicating that the HS zone boundaries are  the same as the MS zone.
