The Department for Learning Excellence services promote district-wide standards-based instructional programs rooted in professional learning best practices and pedagogy that make a difference supporting and rendering highly effective teachers in every classroom throughout the Atlanta Public Schools.

Transformation

Professional Learning

Pre-K / Early Childhood

Safe & Drug-Free Schools

The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities
Act supports programs that prevent violence in
and around schools; prevents the illegal use of
alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; involves parents
and communities; and coordinates with related
federal, state, school and community efforts and
resources to foster a safe and drug-free learning
environment that supports student academic
achievement.
