CONGRATULATIONS AfterSchool Classe' Program at Hope-Hill Elementary

Atlanta City Council Member Kwanza Hall joined students from Hope-Hill Elementary School's AfterSchool Classe' program as they unveiled their artwork on August 23, 2012 in the north terminal of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  The artwork will be viewed by tens of thousands of airport passengers from across the globe and will greet U.S. military personnel as they arrive at their north terminal check-in counter, as part of the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Military Gateway Youth Art Project.

CONGRATULATIONS
The Council on Accreditation (COA) is delighted to inform us that the following after-school programs has been accredited:
  • Jackson After School, Inc. at Jackson Elementary School provided by Kim Bishop
  • Smith After School, Inc. at Smith Elementary School provided by Kim Bishop
  • Preferred School Care, Inc. at Cleveland Avenue Elementary School
  • Preferred School Care, Inc. at Kimberly Elementary School
  • Preferred School Care, Inc. at Parkside Elementary School
  • AfterSchool Classe' at Springdale Park Elementary School
  • AfterSchool Classe' at Burgess-Peterson Elementary School

The COA is designed to identify providers that have set high performance standards for themselves and have made a commitment to their constituents to deliver the highest quality services.

COA accreditation is an objective and reliable verification that provides confidence and support to an after school program’s children and youth, parents, staff and community partners.  The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of both a program’s administrative operations and its service delivery practices.  All are “measured” against national standards of best practice.  They confirm that the services are provided by a skilled and supported workforce and that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

After  School Classe' at Hope/Hill Elementary is a Nationally Accredited Program.  The National AfterSchool Association (NAA), in December 2008, awarded the program the status of Nationally Accredited Afterschool Program.  Accreditation is recognition of quality afterschool programming, application of the NAA Standards for Quality School-Age Care to daily practice, and a long-term commitment to the children and families in their community.

CONGRATULATIONS to these after-school programs for a job well done!
