College Readiness Programs
 
In partnership with Project GRAD  South Atlanta Educational Complex will host a number of events to assist and encourage our students in their pursuit of higher education and meaningful  careers. These events provide us an opportunity to partner with local businesses to bridge the gap between learning and business.

Georgia Apply to College Week

"Georgia Apply to College, sponsored by Communities in Schools, the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia and the University System of Georgia, and endorsed by the Georgia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (GACRAO), has the goal of providing all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college using GAcollege411.org, with a focus on providing assistance to first generation and economically disadvantaged students as they navigate the college application process." Events include a FAFSA workshop and Mini-College Fairs.

College and Career Motivation Week
A District-wide event in which students participate in a number of events that introduce them to a number of careers and Summer opportunities. Volunteers in various careers will speak to students in class settings and provide information and resources. Events include a Dress for Success Day, Career and College Fair and Motivational Assembly.
