Ms. Sessoms our Principal

Dear Parents and Community Members,
 
     It is my fervent belief that all students enter our doors with the desire and prerequisites needed to learn whatever it is we endeavor to teach them. It is our duty to step outside the box, stay abreast of current knowledge, and meet them where they are.  This task requires that we take the time to know and understand the learning styles of each of them and make it our business to do whatever it takes to alter our instruction to continuously grow each and every child. This belief is supported by the understanding that it is our task to prepare students to be 21st Century learners. Therefore we have incorporated technology in aspect of instruction at Continental Colony for both students and parents.

   We want parents and students to "choose" to unite with Continental Colony ES for their educational journey. Along the journey, all stakeholders will unite to educate the total child by helping the students to frame their perceptions of their decisions and evaluate their options. We want our students to know that their lives are not identified soley by where they come from, but what they choose to be. Our curriculum includes character education, knowledge of healthy eating habits and physical well-being, exploration of career options, and partnerships with parents, community, and local colleges. We will set the standard of excellence.
