Guidance Counseling Program Mission

The mission of Ralph J. Bunche Middle School is to prepare academic success by providing a school counseling program that promotes academic, personal /emotional, social growth and cultural needs of all students. Students will be given the opportunity to develop the understanding of self and the appreciation of others. Bunche counselors’ will meet with students through individual and group counseling, classroom guidance, and will provide educational and career exploration through the College and Career Readiness Index ,as we advance through the 21^st century. Partnerships with mentors, community leaders and business partners will help students become lifelong learners and productive citizens within their communities. Through effective, challenging daily, learning experiences will R.I.S.E. to new heights of excellence in student achievement. Ultimately, students will become critical thinkers, developing a positive self-image in a safe and nurturing environment.
