Dear Parents/Guardians & Students:
 
We look forward to having another year of improving academic achievement for all students.  We are looking forward to a wonderful year providing instructional instruction to your child.  We believe that all children can learn and that they are responsible for their own learning and behavior.  All children have choices.  We are here to help your child make the best choices possible for his/her learning and behavior.  While we expect the best from your child, we will offer your child our best.
 
Our theme for this year is "A School Where Academic Excellence is the Norm."  In addition to increased rigor and academic gains, we have added emphasis on collaboration, communication, problem solving and conflict resolution.
 
Please make sure that your child understands our school's rules and policies as contained in the student handbook.  Each student can achieve his/her insturcitonal goals by actively participating, listening, asking questions for clarification, taking notes, and spending time studying for mastery during classroom instruction.
 

Let’s gear up for the 2nd half of an exciting school year that has been packed with challenges, but nothing we can’t handle of course. So dust off your backpacks, sharpen your pencils, and get your brains ready to tackle the rest of this adventure. Our goal is to end this year with a BANG! You will need the following to stay in the race:

·         Awesome attendance

·         An inquiring mind

·         Good communication

·         A commitment to complete all class and home assignments

·         A positive Attitude
