My name is Mrs. Carol Ugonna.  I am married to a wonderful husband, and we have five children. My first child is a 14 year old boy, 2nd is a 12 year old girl, 3rd is an 11 year old boy, and my baby is a 9 year old boy. My stepson is 23. I received my Bachelors in French from University of Calabar, Nigeria, French Education Teacher Certification (PreK-12) from Georgia State University and Masters in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. I have been teaching at Fickett since 2001. I am currently a dedicated 2^nd and 3^rd grade French teacher involved in other cross content activities at the school, such as tutoring students for standardized tests, mentoring teachers and students, and assisting with the school’s reform model, Direct Instruction. I have served in several committees including the leadership team, Science Fair, Design Team, Charm Club, Student Support Team, Career Awareness, Academic Enrichment, and Courtesy team, foreign language assessor and coach. My ultimate goal is to help my students become life-long learners and productive citizens in the global society. I am proud to be part of the Fickett family.
