Support Staff

Greetings!

My name is Cynthia Gunner and I am the Reading/ELA Instructional Coach for Bunche Middle School. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Spelman College as well as a Master's and Educational Specialist Degree. I am also National Board Certified. My role is to provide instructional support to teachers in the designated content areas.

Our ELA Department includes an excellent staff that ensures students on each grade level are exposed to higher level, rigorous instruction that is related to the new Common Core Curriculum. English/Language Arts classes consist of Language, Reading, Writing, and Listening/Speaking. Also, the ELA Department participates in various essay contests throughout the year. We have had several students in the past to win the well known, "Do The Write Thing"essay contest! The goal for the department is for EVERY student to leave Bunche Middle School college and career ready!
