As we enter the month of December, continue to encourage your child to complete their classwork daily as required by their teacher. The end of the semester is quickly approaching. December 19th is the last day of school and  we would love to finish strong with exciting grades. If your child is experiencing problems in a specific area be sure to stay in contact with their teacher or myself to work through ways to assist him/her.
      We have only three more weeks before Winter Break, let's make sure our young learners are coming to school rested and ready to learn. December 7th will mark the day that we conduct our Woodson Primary Academic Fair and students will present projects on topics such as Science, Social Science, Math and Technology. Please be sure to contact your child's teacher if you would like to volunteer to assist with the project production.
    

 Finally, as your school's InstructionalCoach, I am asking that you support your child's teacher by looking over their homework and assisting them communicating the thought process behind the content areas they are learning at school.  Math/Language Arts discussions and the ability to communicate, using mathematical and literary terms is critical to our students being successful with Common Core. If you have any questions about the content your child is learning please do not hesitate to contact any member of the instructional team at Woodson Primary.
