Excellence is Adamsville!

Welcome to the Adamsville Elementary School website and the 2011-2012 school year. We are thrilled that you are taking time to visit us online.

Adamsville Elementary School is a Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade school located in Atlanta, Georgia. Our students are predominately from the surrounding neighborhoods and subdivisions of the Adamsville area. Our students represent a variety of different cultures. We are proud of our diversity and the wonderful experience it brings to the entire school community.

The academic program at Adamsville is aligned seamlessly with the K-5 Georgia Performance Standards, which can be found at http://www.georgiastandards.org. In addition to our academic program, we strive to build the emotional and social development of each child as well. This year we are privileged to have our Pre-K program deemed as Head Start.

Adamsville Elementary is a community of learners. We are continually refining our skills and knowledge of best teaching and learning practices. Teachers use many data sources to assess student abilities and then design learning opportunities to help meet those needs. Our teachers are being prepared to usher in the new Common Core Standards that will be implemented next year. The teachers are currently receiving professional development in Class Keys to assure that Adamsville has an effective teacher in each classroom.
