In 1994, Centennial Place was conceived by a collation of innovative Atlanta Public Schools educators, university leaders and community business stakeholders with one mission – create a ‘break-the-mold’ public school that could resolve contradiction, shatter barriers and provide a world class education for today’s youth.  Since its inception, Centennial Place has become synonymous with high academic standards and exceptional student performance.  Centennial Place continues to be a premier metropolitan Atlanta Public School because of the distinctive programming, exceptional teaching and learning environment, unique attention to data, and specific instructional student prescriptions.  Centennial Place is truly a special place!

Our core belief revolves around a child-centered, community-based school that focuses on Science, Mathematics, and Technology.  Our students are afforded the unique opportunity to learn and grow under the care and conviction of a dedicated faculty/staff who believe all children can meet their full potential with rigorous instruction and constant support and guidance.   Through our exceptional instructional design, students develop a rich understanding of the traditional core subjects (mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, etc.) combined with 21^st century digital literacy skills which are essential for success in today’s global society.
