Please Note:
Transportation is available to students living in pre-determined boundaries from their Power Up Summer Program host sites. The Atlanta Public Schools transportation policy dictates that bus stops are placed outside the shortest 1 mile navigation of elementary schools, and 1½ mile navigation of middle and high schools. Students living less than the 1 mile or 1 ½ mile boundaries are assigned to the walk-zone. Cleveland Avenue Power Up To the Next Level!
Cleveland Avenue ES (CAE) Summer Power UP camp is an innovative program filled with fun, hands-on activities driven by the engineering design process. Our camp is dedicated to helping students imagine, discover, and create--all in preparation for later STEM initiatives.

The Adventures of STEAM Island for Hutchinson ES & Humphries ES [Hosted at Cleveland ES]
The Adventures of STEAM Island is a program that fully engages all students with hands-on activities and discovery learning that will lead students to become creative and critical thinkers through the engineering design process.

KinderCamp: Dobbs Elementary
KinderCamp is an opportunity for children and their parent to learn routines, become comfortable with the school environment, and ensure that they are Day One ready for Kindergarten.

Jaguars & Eagles Moving Full STEAM Ahead [Hosted at Heritage Academy]
Get on board as we move "Full STEAM Ahead" with summer learning success! Students will engage in hands-on discovery activities, authentic, meaningful learning experiences and in-school field trips that are sure to get your summer on track. The program will serve RISING 1st - 5th grade students who currently attend Dobbs Elementary and Heritage Academy Elementary.

Long Middle School Tiger Den
The TIGER DEN program will introduce STEM based activities and allow students to partake in highly engaging and meaningful activities that will serve as the building blocks to the upcoming school year. Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will experience a student-centered, project based learning approach, with a heavy emphasis in the areas of Math and ELA to help build a strong academic foundation going into the 2020-2021 school year.

Long Middle School Summer Bridge
The Crawford W. Long MS (CWL) Summer Bridge Program will assist students in making the transition from elementary to middle school prior to the first day of school. Students will be exposed to the culture and norms of CWL as well as the school’s academic and social expectations.

South Atlanta HS Summer Recovery Program
South Atlanta High School will host a four week summer academy program. The Hornet Summer Academy Program (HSAP) will offer credit recovery courses in all core content areas.

South Atlanta HS STEM Immersion Summer Bridge
The Hornet Leadership Academy (HOLA) Summer Bridge Camp is a 4-day program designed to help rising 9th graders prepare for a successful first year of high school. Students will participate in fun and engaging workshop sessions with the goal of fostering a smooth transition to 9th grade. Students will engage in personal growth and leadership development. Each student will participate in interactive and informational workshops, activities that will help them become even better leaders of themselves as they make their transition to high school.
