    Student  Evaluation

    Student performance will be assessed by homework, participation, projects, quizzes, tests.  Homework will be assigned daily and used for homework credit for final grade.  Grades will be given regularly and the following percentages will apply to the final quarter and semester grades:

    Classroom Management Plan

    A classroom management plan is necessary to ensure an environment that is productive for learning where instruction is a priority; interruptions are minimized; which means instructional time can be maximized.  In addition to this management plan, students are expected to follow Atlanta Public Schools’ Code of Conduct and Emma Hutchinson Elementary School’s rules.

     

                       I.      Students are expected to

    1.    Raise hand to express ideas,  and concerns

    2.    Arrive at 7:30 am for breakfast with all needed materials

    3.    Participate in and complete all daily activities

     

                    II.      Rewards – for following classroom management plan

    1.    Verbal and nonverbal praise

    2.    Caught Doing Good Box

    3.    Positive note or phone call

                 III.      Consequences

    1.    Warning

    2.    Needs Improvement Note or phone call

    3.    Parent Conference

    4.    Referral

     

               IV.      Students are asked to wear uniforms daily
