“Change is the end result of all true learning.” ― Leo Buscaglia

It is my hope through consistency and commitment that we at BEST Academy High will be change agent that will impact the lives of our students and this community. It is my passion to inspire our students to become lifelong learners. My personal education quest has led me to the completion of several degrees.  I received my Doctorate from Capella University in 2014, Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University, December 2005 and Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University in August, 1992. Also, I obtained my undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University in December 1989. I am currently certified in Emotional Behavioral Disorders and Highly Qualified in Social Studies under the Special Education Program.

I have been employed with Atlanta Public Schools since August, 2000 as a Special Needs Teacher.  Before joining Atlanta Public Schools, I provided counseling service for children with emotional behavioral challenges at Inner Harbour Hospital as an Outreach Program Coordinator. In addition, I was employed with the Department of Family and Children Services of the State of Georgia.
