Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT)
The Georgia High School Writing Test is a performance-based writing assessment that is taken for the first time in fall of the 11th grade year. Students must pass this test in order to earn a regular Georgia high school diploma. Student may also have to pass the English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science portions of the GHSGT depending on students’ cohort when entering grade nine.
End-of-Course Test [EOCT]
End-of-Course Tests [EOCT] will be administered for the following courses: Coordinate Algebra I/ Math I, CCGPS Analytic Geometry/ Math II, Ninth Grade Literature and Composition, American Literature and Composition, Physical Science, Biology I, United States History, and Economics. The EOCT is required and will count as 15 percent or 20 percent depending on each student’s cohort when entering grade nine.
Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Assessment
Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Assessment is required for end of pathway completers.
