    Sharon Mangum
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but I have also lived in Pennsylvania, Washington state, Augusta, GA and Washington, DC.  This is my 15th year of teaching in Atlanta.  I have taught at Benteen Elementary and at Drew Charter School, specializing in math and science.  I have a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher.  I absolutely love working with children, and I can’t wait to help grow your wonderful students. I am looking forward to a fabulous year of learning and achievement at THES!

    Jennifer Donnelly, Math Lab Teacher

I am very excited to be teaching in the Math Lab at Thomasville Height, and working with each of your students.  I am passionate about helping your student grow in math and reach his/her fullest potential!  Originally, I am from the Atlanta area and studied Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech.  Since joining Teach for America in 2008, I have taught 5th through 7th grade math in both Atlanta and Newark.  Outside of education, I love to cook, read, and travel anywhere and everywhere.

    Desiree Roberts, Math Lab Paraprofessional

I was raised in the wonderful city of Atlanta, GA.  I attended Grady High School.  Before becoming a paraprofessional I graduated “Top of the Class” from Everest College in dental care.  My passion has always been to motivate, uplift and teach children.

    Christopher Winston, Math Lab Paraprofessional

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Westlake High School. Following high school I chose to attend Morehouse College on a Naval ROTC Scholarship in order to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. During my tenure I was able to spend time volunteering with an afterschool program in Vine City called Raising Expectations, which focused on tutoring middle school children in math and literature. I am very excited to be a part of this team and take on the next challenge in my life.

    Tamika Witcher, Math Lab Teacher

I am a native of Atlanta and received my education in Atlanta Public Schools.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Childhood Education from Spelman College and Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Georgia.  I have over 13 years of education experience working in elementary, middle and high school settings.  My passion is indeed math and my first love will always be elementary aged students.

    Kia King, Math Lab Paraprofessional

I am Kia King, a proud mother of two wonderful children. I am originally from Miami, FL but moved here to Atlanta. I grew up in a household of two educators where I grew to have a love for teaching. Some of the things that I enjoy doing are mentoring children and having a positive impact on every child that I touch. I am excited about being a part of the Thomasville family and look forward to making a difference.

    Terrell Olagbegi, Math Lab Paraprofessional

A native of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Olagbegi (affectionately known as Mr. O) is the last of a dying breed.  I graduated from Westlake High School and afterwards attended and graduated from Morehouse College.  After college I travelled playing professional tennis, eventually becoming a professional coach.  In addition to coaching, I was a substitute teacher in Clayton County for more than 4 years.  Noticing how natural teaching came, it only made sense to get more involved.  I believe that every student can be taught…you just have to know how to reach them where they are!
