Need a suggestion for a book for your child to read? Our staff has compiled Summer Book Lists by grade level. Please note that these are NOT required reads for this summer. These lists are purely meant to be a resource should your child need a suggestion. Have a great summer and keep up the reading!
Atlanta Public Schools has a wide variety of online resources at home during the summer.
- GALILEO Kids' Page: GALILEO is the state of Georgia’s online portal for educational databases.
- At school, students have automatic access to GALILEO.
- At home, a password is required. The current password is ‘acting’ (lower case), until 5/22/2017. After that the new password will be ‘parlor’ valid until 8/3/2017.
- You See More: Offsite access to APS eBooks and databases is standard for all APS and school eBooks and databases as follows: Username = morningside Password = readmore
- Get Georgia Reading: Get Georgia Reading partner myON is delivering more than 10,400 free books to computer and mobile devices that you can access 24 hours a day from April 15 - August 31. Students can search from more than 50 different categories and genres, fiction and nonfiction, picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, titles for struggling and reluctant readers, and Spanish and bilingual titles.
