Mrs. Brandy Stacy

Special Education Lead Teacher (SELT)

Mrs. Brandy Stacy is humbled to step into the role as Special Education Lead Teacher. She has taught at Inman Middle School for the past three years serving as a 6th grade Interrelated Special Education Teacher. Before coming to Atlanta Public Schools, Mrs. Stacy taught in Henry, Thomas, Brantley, and Gwinnett counties. Over her 15 years in the classroom, she has taught students from K-8th grade with a range of disabilities.

Mrs. Stacy grew up in Waycross, Georgia and graduated from Ware County High School. It was during her senior year in high school when she began volunteering in the Severe/Profound Special Education classroom. The time she spent with those students spurred her desire to become a Special Educator. After graduation, she attended Valdosta State University. Mrs. Stacy received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education degrees from VSU becoming the first person in her family to graduate from college. Mrs. Stacy married her high school sweetheart Matthew Stacy, and she became a mom to Jackson, Elli, and Wilson.

Mrs. Stacy believes that all children can learn. She will advocate for all students to be treated with equity and to be given the necessary tools in order to become successful members of our community.
