I am absolutely thrilled to join the Boyd Family! It already feels like home. This year will mark my 31st year in education- my first in APS! I began my teaching career with Marietta City Schools in 1993, teaching grades 2-5 and K-5 EIP Reading and Math before moving into the STEM Lab in 2012. I'm so excited to be part of the Boyd community and learn first-hand what makes Boyd the best of the best! I received my BS in Biology and Health Services Administration from the City University of New York; My M. Ed in Elementary Education and Guidance from NC A&T State University; and my Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. Originally from New York, I live in Marietta and have two grown sons- Rodney is a Neonatologist intern at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Rylen is a student at Georgia Gwinnett College. I'm excited to get the 2023-2024 school year underway, and meet staff, students, and families. Get ready for an incredible year as I bring out the scientist in every child!
