Students love to visit the Tinker Lab!
In the Tinker Lab, students engineer using building materials such as Legos, K'Nex, Keva planks, and more.
Students also explore robotics using Sphero, Cubelets, Ozobots, and other technology.
Our scholars gain collaboration and problem-solving skills by drawing up and/or building from blueprints,
and in the Tinker Lab, we always incorporate what your child is learning in their current math unit!

Miss S. Williams
Welcome to the Tinker Lab! This is my fifth year touching hearts and minds in Usher-Collier. I am a product of Atlanta Public Schools, attending elementary school at F. L. Stanton from 2002-05, where my technology teacher was Dr. Bonita Simmons, whom I currently work under in preparation of Usher-Collier receiving the STEM Certification. I am honored to serve the community that helped raise me. I also manage the Usher-Collier social pages, website, photography, and videography. I am successfully self-taught in many areas of IT; therefore, I speak resourcefulness, self-reliance, and problem-solving skills to our extremely capable scholars. I believe in teaching students how to find the correct answers. Please contact me if you have any questions!
