Mrs. Shanda Beadles is a 26-year veteran educator in Atlanta Public Schools. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hampton University in Virginia, a Master’s and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University and doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Liberty University. Her educational career began as a substitute teacher and has prospered to include a vast array of other experiences, such as high school and middle school science teacher, department chair and grade-level lead, instructional coach, assistant principal, district-level curriculum design specialist, principal and currently the School Business Manager (COO). In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing all financial and operational functions necessary to run a high-performing school.
Shanda Beadles is a native Atlien. She believes in providing resources for a safe, transparent, nurturing, technological, readiness level learning experience for all matriculating students. Her focus is to provide means to continuously build on the current educational foundation utilizing global exposure, relevant experiences, investigative discovery, and real-world engaging opportunities that prepare students for future success to compete globally with other countries. She is committed to continuing to bridge the educational gap from home to school by including parents in the development of each student’s learning experience and mind development in their home away from home.
Shanda Beadles has a list of accomplishments during her educational tenure, but her greatest accomplishment is being a mom to Alexus, Alona, Channing, and Chayse. Her children are academically and athletically involved in many activities and keep her work-life balance.
