    Taylor Luckadue Garcia

    Taylor Luckadue Garcia began her career in 2015, working as a Founding 7th Grade History and English Teacher with Liceo Cientifico in the Dominican Republic. She later joined the Pulaski County Public Works at Little Rock, Arkansas as a Special Projects Manager responsible for the county’s digital marketing, communications strategy, and major county-wide events. In June 2017, Taylor went back to her teaching profession and served as a 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Teach for America with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She later joined the Estem Public Charter Schools as a 6th Grade Literacy and Social Studies teacher. While here, she ensured alignment between the organization’s academic goals and student reading levels by executing strategies and interventions focused on student needs. In August 2020, she joined the Harvard Division of Medical Sciences team, serving as a Diversity and Inclusion Intern. Her most recent work experience was as a Diversity and Inclusion Intern at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she designed and led workshops that prepared clients to reach DEI goals.


    Taylor holds a B.A degree in History with a concentration in African and African-American Studies from Dartmouth College. While here, she was the Vice President of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a Fellow of Rockefeller Global Leadership, Dickey International Internship and Tucker Foundation. Seeking to widen her horizon of knowledge in her field, she enrolled in the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she recently earned her Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management.


    A reputable educator, her goal is to create equitable opportunities for students. Throughout her personal and professional life, she has seen the positive impact that equitable opportunities can have in individual lives and entire communities. She recently joined the Atlanta Public Schools as a Federal Programs Support Specialist and hopes to achieve exponential success as an integral part of their amazing team. She understands that APS is doing the work to commit to equity and social justice and hopes to learn and add to their efforts. 


    Fun Fact: Taylor likes analyzing data and incorporating it into her work to reach her goals. Whenever she’s off professional duties, she enjoys travelling and dancing. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
