Alpachino believes the purpose of education is to provide learners with information and opportunities to develop skills, allowing them to relate to and thrive within our current world and the future state. He wants to create the conditions -- which are fueled by and thrive on equity -- that allow families to rise out of the burdens of poverty. His professional and personal work has always been focused on helping families and children secure more agency in their life pathways.
Alpachino envisions learning experiences that aim to teach, inspire, embolden, and support students -- as well as the adults who love and care for them -- as they challenge the convention and mediocrity they see in this world. He begins his Harvard Residency today joining in our work as a Senior Strategic Advisor to the Superintendent and CESJ.
Chino is inspired by the commitment and energy here at APS and looks forward to learning and making meaningful contributions in service to our families.
Outside of APS, Chino is most looking forward to experiencing the great food, ample amenities, and outdoor spaces here in the Atlanta Metro Area.
