My full name is Bahar Amalfard, but my students know me as Ms. Bahar. I was born and raised in Atlanta, so I have a lot of ATL pride. I have wanted to be a teacher from when I was in 2nd grade, and now this will be my sixth year teaching 2nd grade! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Educational Studies from Emory University and a Master’s in Teaching from Stanford University.

When I’m not at school, I like to spend a lot of time outside and stay active in kickboxing and rock climbing. I love travelling and learning about different cultures. I enjoy photography and look forward to taking many pictures of our class! I have an adorable cat named Ellie, and my students get to hear many stories about her.

I live in Old Fourth Ward and am excited about teaching students in the community. Looking forward to a great year!
