Ms. Abernathy

My name is Donnay Abernathy, I reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and a master’s degree in Elementary Education. I am currently a 1st-grade teacher at William Boyd Elementary School. As a long-term substitute teacher, I taught with the Fulton County School System for eleven years. I have experience teaching grade band levels from Pre-K through twelfth grade. I prefer elementary education as my favorite coaching level. It allows me to build future scholars as they are still impressionable. My professional background and work experience are in social work and business. I worked with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) for 16 years. I held various positions throughout my tenure, including child protective services. I was a claims adjuster in the insurance industry for 2 years. These job opportunities have led me back to my passion as a teacher. I decided to pursue a career as a full-time educator because children are our future. My hobbies include hiking, movies, and traveling.

Ms. Vance

I, Keione Vance, have been working with children for six years. Education is very important to me. I believe the purpose of education is to prepare children for today’s society. To be successful in the future, an individual must be educated. Teaching gives children the ability to obtain information and apply the knowledge that has been taught to them in their everyday life. In the future, being educated can avoid embarrassment and low self-esteem. I look forward to working with your child and enhancing the knowledge that he/she already possesses. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank You!!!!
