         We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to our fourth-grade classes.  We are extremely excited and honored to serve as your child’s teacher this year.

          This year, students will have the opportunity to participate in a vast array of learning activities, which include home projects, field trips, reports, and much, much more.  We have set high expectations for all students in our fourth-grade class and collaboratively, we will strive to meet and exceed those expectations.

          Students will be assigned homework on a daily basis, including some weekends.  All students are expected to complete and turn in homework every day.  In addition, students are expected to read for pleasure for at least 20 minutes daily.  This may include reading a magazine, newspapers, novels, reference books, and even comic books.  Students are also expected to practice their multiplication and division facts for at least 10 minutes every day.
