•      Ms. Stimpson is a fifteen year educator with diverse educational experiences.  She has served in both public and private schools in North Carolina and the Atlanta area over the course of her career.  Ms. Stimpson received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in both English and Education.  She earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University and her Educational Specialist degree from Georgia State also in Educational Leadership. 
         Ms. Stimpson began her career as a 9th Grade English  teacher in Durham Public Schools in North Carolina before moving to teach middle grades English Language Arts in Wake County Public Schools, also in North Carolina.  During this time she earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescence/English Language Arts.  Upon moving to the Atlanta area after 6 years of teaching, Ms. Stimpson served for 6 years in Independent schools in the Atlanta area in a variety of capacities including teacher, Instructional Coach, Director of Studies and Dean of Students.  She left the Atlanta Girls’ School after four years to join the Middle School Transformation team of Atlanta Public Schools where she provided school improvement support to the district’s middle schools.  Most recently, Ms. Stimpson has served as Assistant Principal at Sylvan Hills Middle School in APS.
