The APS Newsroom exists to celebrate teaching and learning while ensuring the public receives accurate and timely information. We work closely with reporters, partners, and schools to share stories that reflect our district’s progress, priorities, and people.
What We Do
The Media Relations team works closely with the school-based Communications Ambassadors as well as with Communications Officers, the Social Media team, and their district-based peers in the Office of Communications, to find and develop thoughtful and engaging stories that are shared with the community through electronic and print media. We advise and provide media training to principals and other senior administrators, coordinate and facilitate crisis communications strategies, and cultivate positive relationships with members of the media.
