Programs

Title I, Part A provides funding to schools to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. These funds support additional teachers, academic interventions, instructional materials, and professional development to improve teaching and learning in schools serving students most in need of academic support.

• Provides supplemental financial assistance to districts & schools with high numbers or high percentages of disadvantaged children.
• Provides additional academic support & learning opportunities to help low-achieving students.
• Supports extra instruction in academic content areas, as well as preschool, after-school, & summer programs

Parent and Family Engagement under Title I promotes active collaboration between schools and families. The program provides resources, workshops, and opportunities for parents to be partners in their child’s education, helping to strengthen home-school connections and improve student achievement.

Title II, Part A focuses on improving the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders. The program provides funding for professional learning, recruitment, and retention initiatives that strengthen instructional practices and leadership capacity.

• Increases student achievement consistent with challenging State academic standards.
• Improves the quality & effectiveness of teachers, principals, & and other school leaders.
• Increases the number of teachers, principals, & other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools, and
• Provides low-income & minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.

Title III, Part A provides support for English learners and immigrant students to attain English proficiency and meet state academic standards. The program also offers professional development for educators and promotes family engagement to help students succeed in and beyond the classroom.

Title IV, Part A promotes a well-rounded education by funding programs that support academic enrichment, safe and healthy school environments, and the effective use of technology. These efforts help ensure students are engaged, supported, and prepared for success in college, career, and life.

Title IV, Part B supports after-school and summer programs that provide students with academic enrichment and youth development opportunities outside regular school hours. The program also offers activities for families to support learning and strengthen connections between schools and communities.
