Student Services

Welcome to the Department of Student Services in the Division of Student Experience. We are very excited to be a part of Atlanta Public Schools, as we all work together to support the success of the children and families in the great city of Atlanta.  

The Department of Student Services holds a vast array of supports that many of our children and families need in order to succeed.  We think of ourselves as those additional champions of the whole child, every child in all that we do.  We work collaboratively with other APS departments, schools, and community partners to put school and cluster systems and resources in place, providing students with safe spaces to learn while effectively addressing their academic, emotional, mental, and physical needs.  

Our areas of support include: School Psychological Services, Comprehensive Health Services, School Counseling Services, Behavior and Discipline, School Social Work Services, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Hospital/Homebound Services.  

One of our primary goals is to ensure we have timely, effective communication through the use of the Department of Student Services website and other modes of outreach to our broader community. Each department has rich information and useful tools. We encourage you to explore each site.
