Social Work Services

Vision

A high-performing school district where all students will live, work, and thrive as contributing and valued members within the global society.

Mission

In partnership with families and community stakeholders, Atlanta Public Schools Social Workers support the district's mission by providing comprehensive and equitable services that strengthen home, school, and community partnerships and promote students' thriving in school and life.

Who We Are

As school social workers, we serve as a vital link between the home, school, and community. We work to remove barriers to learning by addressing students’ social, emotional, and environmental needs. We also partner closely with families, school staff, and community agencies to support every child’s success.
