Pre-Kindergarten Lottery and Enrollment
SY2025-2026 Enrollment
Looking to apply for Pre-K 2025-2026?
If you missed the previous lottery drawing, we are still accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year . For families who did not participate in the lottery, our application reopened on April 1st and will remain open for the entire school year. Any remaining vacancies are filled on a first-come first-serve basis.
Program Requirements:
- Child must turn four years old by September 1, 2025
- Child must live within the Atlanta Public Schools' attendance zone
- All APS employees are eligible to apply for their child(ren) only.
- If you are the parent of twins, triplets, etc., you are required to submit one application per child. Before the lottery drawing takes place, each application will be linked to ensure that they are placed at the same site
- Applicants must have a valid email address to apply
Application Process:
Applicants can access the online application through SchoolMint Enroll. The application will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you are unable to complete the application in one sitting, you can save your progress and return to it later. You will be asked to submit copies of key documents before your application can be considered complete and submitted. The required documents are listed below. Failure to submit the correct documentation will result in your application being marked ineligible.
When completing the application, applicants will have the option to select up to three different Pre-K sites, listed in order of preference. Selecting three sites is optional. If you are only interested in one or two sites, simply leave the other selection fields blank. Although it is not mandatory, we strongly encourage you to select your child's zoned school as your first choice. Acceptance into your zoned school helps ensure an easier transition to kindergarten. Additionally, school bus transportation services will only be provided if your child is accepted into their zoned school and lives more than one mile away from the school.
If you apply after the lottery drawing has occurred, you will be limited to selecting only one site. Once the lottery results have been verified, each applicant will receive a notification regarding the outcome. If your child is not accepted, they will be placed on the waiting list for all site selections. All families that are offered a seat in the program must accept or decline their offer within 5 days of receiving it.
