Get ready for an amazing summer of learning and enrichment! Atlanta Public Schools is excited to announce that the 2026 Summer Bus Routes are now available online for families to review.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to use the Bus Routes link above to view transportation schedules based on your student’s assigned summer program and host site.

Please note:

  • Pick-up and drop-off times are specific to each program and location.
  • Families should review routes carefully to confirm transportation details for their student.
  • Routes and schedules may continue to be adjusted as enrollment changes throughout the summer.

We are proud to safely connect our students to summer opportunities across the district and appreciate your patience and partnership as we prepare for a successful summer session.🚌

What This Means for Families

As routes are updated, some families may experience changes including:

  • Adjustments to bus routes serving certain streets and/or neighborhoods.
  • Changes to student pick-up and drop-off locations.
  • Changes to pick-up and drop-off times.

While some routes may remain the same, others may be modified as we finalize transportation plans for the new school year.

What Parents/Guardians Should Know

  • New bus routes and transportation information will be available online beginning July 15, 2026.
  • Families of students receiving Specialized Transportation Services will begin receiving phone calls with updated bus information at least two weeks prior to Day One.
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to review their student’s transportation information regularly, as route updates may continue through Day One.
  • Families should register for the Here Comes the Bus app to receive the most up-to-date transportation notifications directly to their smartphone.

πŸ“Œ Bus Stop Guidelines

βœ”οΈ Morning Pickup: Students should arrive at their designated bus stop at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time.

βœ”οΈ Afternoon Drop-off: PM stop times may vary a little depending on when your child’s school is dismissed. Elementary schools usually take about 10–15 minutes to get everyone loaded before the bus leaves, while middle and high schools normally take about 5–10 minutes.
