Performance

Comprised of:  Charter + Partner Schools, Data + Information (DIG),  Student Information + Applications (SIS), and Testing +Assessment (T+A) -- the Division of Performance looks after the life cycle of student data for APS. We collect the data; we provide applications, protocols and resources to track, protect and measure the data; and we mine the data for positive trends to help our school and district leaders form better strategies for learning.

We believe in data as a mechanism to create beneficial change for our district and in the lives of the students we serve and that insight into data promotes progress and inspires positive change; that every point of information gathered is an opportunity for improvement in our schools and in the lives of the students we serve.

From providing best-in-class applications, assessments and analytic tools; to high-touch assistance, timely fulfillment and meaningful guidance, as the caretakers of the student data life cycle, we work diligently to equip our education-side partners with the resources they need to make an impact.

We are at our best when we can use the data story to elevate the conversation, improve instruction, forecast challenges, identify possibilities to replicate success and empower district and school leaders with forward-thinking, actionable, student-focused strategies.

Our purview is broad. We work with teachers and parents, district staff and APS leaders, state agencies and university research partners. We’d love to work with you.

Student Data Live Cycle
The Data and Information Group for APS captures, validates, reports and translates student data, passing the information “hand-to-hand” within the group to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Working in assigned school facing teams, the goal is to create a clear process for our education-side partners that yields meaningful, usable data for schools and students.
