Teaching & Learning

The Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Office of Teaching & Learning ensures that every student experiences high-quality, engaging instruction that prepares them for success in school and beyond. We work to strengthen classroom instruction, support effective teaching, and create meaningful learning experiences across all grade levels.

Our work is grounded in the belief that literacy is a fundamental right that opens the door to lifelong learning, that our students will thrive as critical thinkers and problem solvers, and that every APS student should graduate ready to be enrolled, enlisted, employed, or as an entrepreneur.
