    Please Note: 

    Transportation is available to students living in pre-determined boundaries from their Power Up Summer Program host sites. The Atlanta Public Schools transportation policy dictates that bus stops are placed outside the shortest 1 mile navigation of elementary schools, and 1½ mile navigation of middle and high schools.  Students living less than the 1 mile or 1 ½ mile boundaries are assigned to the walk-zone. Read important walking safety tips here.

    Impact STEM Program & 21st Century Learning

    Scott Elementary's summer programming has two goals. The primary goal is to introduce and enhance student's abilities in the areas of STEM. The secondary goal is to provide targeted academy support in literacy.

    STEM Project Funway [Hosted at Towns Elementary]

    STEM Project Funway hosted at the Towns ES campus is open to students at Boyd ES, Fain ES, F.L.Stanton ES, Towns ES and Woodson Park Academy. This STEM camp is a fun and engaging four-week summer esperience for students in First (1st) through Fifth (5th) Grades. 

    In addition to focusing on literacy and mathematics standards and skills, students will also engage in daily STEM block-making, building and creating a variety of projects utilizing the engineering process.

    Rock and Roll With Reading at Usher-Collier

    Rising 1st through 5th graders will participate in academic experiences focused on literacy and math. Students will participate in extracurricular activities daily after academic programming. Those extracurricular activities are music and arts based.

    STEAM Works [Hosted at Douglass HS]

    STEAM Works hosted at the Douglass High School campus is open to students at Harper-Archer Middle SchoolThe goals of STEAM Works is to transform the way students think and learn, inspire confidence, empower students with the tools to be college and career ready, promote critical thinking, and reinforce mathematics and ELA standards.

    Microsoft Launch [for JLIA students]

    Microsoft Launch is open to John Lewis Invictus Academy students who will obtain Microsoft badge certifications to support the instructional foundation of becoming a Microsoft showcase school within two years at John Lewis Invicus Academy.

    Summer Credit Recovery and Freshmen Academy

    Summer Credit Recovery supports students performing below requirements in core subjects to ensure they remain on track for graduation.
