    Please Note: 

    Transportation is available to students living in pre-determined boundaries from their Power Up Summer Program host sites. The Atlanta Public Schools transportation policy dictates that bus stops are placed outside the shortest 1 mile navigation of elementary schools, and 1½ mile navigation of middle and high schools.  Students living less than the 1 mile or 1 ½ mile boundaries are assigned to the walk-zone. Read important walking safety tips here.

    KinderCamp [Hosted at Cascade ES]

    KinderCamp is open to incoming Kindergarten students at Benteen ES, Cascade ES, Continental Colony ES, Garden Hills ES, Fickett ES, and Hope Hills ES. This is a one to two week school transition activity for families and children who are transitioning from home and/or early learning setting to a Pre-K program or Kindergarten. The goal is to provide the opportunity for the children to become acclimated to their new “big school,” experience school routines, learn or practice skills needed in Kindergarten, and to develop relationships with school staff and other Kindergarteners – all before school starts!

    Mays Cluster Elementary STEAM Camp [Hosted at Peyton Forest Elementary School]

    STEAM Camp is open to identified rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at Beecher Hills ES, Cascade ES, Miles ES, Peyton Forest ES and West Manor ES. The goal of the camp is to use engaging and fun hands-on projects to reinforce science, technology, engineering, fine arts, and math skills while also promoting critical thinking. Students will engage in a daily STEAM block during which they will use the engineering design process to make, build, and create. Students will also participate in daily enrichment activities like art/photography, coding, and robotics!

    JCY Wolfpack Summer Academy / Teach for America

    The Wolfpack Summer Academy is for students at Young MS will focus on increasing the proficiency levels of students by 75% in the core content areas of Math, ELA/RDG and Science.

    Evening School at Mays High School

    Evening School provides credit recovery during the school year for students at Mays HS, through a comprehensive-blended instructional program. This prevents the need for summer school enrollment and decreases second semester failure rates.
