Please Note:
Transportation is available to students living in pre-determined boundaries from their Power Up Summer Program host sites. The Atlanta Public Schools transportation policy dictates that bus stops are placed outside the shortest 1 mile navigation of elementary schools, and 1½ mile navigation of middle and high schools. Students living less than the 1 mile or 1 ½ mile boundaries are assigned to the walk-zone. KinderCamp: Hollis Innovation Academy, M.A. Jones and TAG Academy [Hosted at M.A. Jones]
KinderCamp is an opportunity for children and their parent to learn routines, become comfortable with the school environment, and ensure that they are Day One ready for Kindergarten.

Washington Cluster Elementary Schools Full STEAM Ahead [Hosted at M.A. Jones Elementary]
Full STEAM Ahead: Rising 1st-5th grade students will experience hands-on, STEAM-related activities using the Design Thinking Process. The students in the Washington Cluster in collaboration with CEISMC @ Georgia Tech will learn more about our "Beloved Community" through Gardening, Circuitry, Energy, and Repurposing. Students will grapple with new concepts, collaborate with other students, attend field experiences, and build new friendships as they learn more about STEAM all while being encouraged to try new things.

Hollis Innovation Academy (MS Grades) / Brown Middle School Full STEAM Ahead [Hosted at Hollis Innovation Academy]
The middle school students of Hollis Innovation Academy and Brown Middle School will experience an exciting and engaging STEAM program focused on solving real world problems using the design thinking process. In collaboration with GA Tech CEISMC, the students will create products based on the theme "My Beloved Community." STEAM classes have a literature focus and include Earsketch, Game Design, and Electric Art.

Brown Middle School Summer Bridge Program
The rising 5th graders of TAG Academy and M.A. Jones ES will experience four days of preparation and orientation for the 2020-2021 school year for 6th grade.

Washington High School Summer Credit Recovery Program
Booker T. Washington High School will host a four week summer academy program. The Summer Academy Program will offer credit recovery courses in all core content areas.

Washington High School Summer Bridge Program
Provide ninth grade students with an opportunity to become acclimated to 9th grade standards in core courses while taking a closer look at the college/career readiness process. A deep dive into the history of Booker T. Washington, as well as strategies for a successful academic and social year will be discussed.
