• Student Enrichment Center “Pursuing Excellence”

    The Student Enrichment Center (S.E.C.) is a collection of school services and community partnerships designed to reduce academic, social and emotional obstacles that block our students’ ability to maximize their academic potential. 

    The S.E.C. actively seeks strong relationships / partnerships with local individuals and organizations year-round. To date, we have established partnerships with the following organizations to support students and families:

    • Communities In Schools – Provides resources from local nonprofits, volunteers, and community resources to empower students to overcome barriers (located in the Promise College)
    • Chris 180 – through a referral process, Chris 180 provides individual, family, and group therapeutic services at school & within the community as needed.
    • Next Level Boys Academy – Provides individual and group mentoring for young men ages11-25.
    • Atlanta Community Food Bank – Provides a variety of fresh produce, vegetables, meat, and canned goods from local grocery stores. Distribution is the 2nd Saturday of every month.  Upcoming distribution dates:
      • September 14th 9:00am – 12pm
      • October 12th 9 – 12pm
      • November 9th 9 – 12pm
      • December 14th 9 – 12pm
    • Hands On Atlanta – Provides AmeriCorps Members to tutor students in Math and ELA.
    • At-Promise (@Promise) Youth & Community Center (not located in the SEC) – Provides programs, services, and alternatives as a resource to students who have earned out of school suspension
