  • A Word From Our Athletic Directors

Athletics at Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy will function as an integral part of the total curriculum. Sports offer opportunities to serve the institution, assist in the development of fellowship and goodwill, promote self-realization and all-around growth, and encourage the qualities of good citizenship.

Our student-athletes will learn a great deal from their participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, how to win and lose gracefully, will be an important part of each of our athletic teams. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit and helps all students, spectators, as well as participants develop pride in their school.

We believe that the opportunity for participation in a wide variety of student-selected activities is a vital part of the student’s educational experience. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, to the activity, to the student body, to the community and to the student themselves.

LADY EAGLE student-athlete is considered to be a leader and must accept greater responsibility in terms of appearance, attitude, and behavior both in and out of school.

We would like to personally invite the parents, students, faculty and community to become a LADY EAGLE FAN and support our young women on the fields and courts of their respective sports.
