• Parents, we need your help! For the 2022-2023 school year, we were identified as a Title 1 school as part of the Every Student Succeed Act of 2017 (ESSA). Title 1 is a federal program that provides funding to local school districts to help ensure that all children in district Title 1 schools meet the state’s high academic standards. This status is determined by the percentage of families at Bolton Academy that qualify for free or reduced lunch. Some of you may remember that we were not a Title 1 school during the 2020-2021 school year, but this pandemic has impacted our families and our status has shifted back to Title 1.
Federal funding comes with compliance, rules and requires documentation. Please take the time to review our Bolton Academy School-Parent Compact in ENGLISH or SPANISH. This document captures key responsibilities for our stakeholders:
    1) Our parents or guardians
    2) Our students
    3) Our administration, teachers and staff
Please also review the Parent and Family Engagement Plan in ENGLISH or SPANISH. We believe that parent involvement means the participation of parents in regular two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. We want you to play an integral role in assisting your child’s learning, to be encouraged to be actively involved, and to be full partners in your child’s education.
After you review, please complete this four-question electronic form to help us stay in compliance with our partners in the Title 1 office.

If we don’t document it, it didn't happen, so we really appreciate your support! If you have any questions at all regarding the information shared, please reach out to our Parent Liaison Melanie Haley at melanie.haley@apsk12.org.
