Science Fair Projects Due Tuesday, January 18
Science Fair projects for all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are due on Tuesday, January 18. Please remember that this is a graded assignment for students.
Make sure your presentation includes the following: Project Title, Problem, Hypothesis, Experiment, Data, Images, Results, Conclusion, and Next Time.
There are four stages for the Science Fair:- Classroom Presentation: You have the option to complete a poster board project and/or a digital presentation to present in class on Tuesday, January 18. Top finalists from each class will move onto the Bolton Academy Science Fair.
- Bolton Academy: Finalists will display their classroom winning project (poster board or digital presentation) in the Media Center to be reviewed by our judges.
- APS: If you advance to the District Science Fair, you will be required to have a digital presentation since the district competition will be virtual.
- State: If you advance to State Science Fair, you will be required to have a poster board project.

ALL 3-5 grade students must participate and parent involvement is required (see action item below).
K-2 grade students will complete classroom projects so parents do not need to complete any forms or review the following information.

Action Item for Students and Parents - 3-5 Grade ONLY
Submit Forms 1, 1A, & 1B by Monday, December 6, 2021 to grade level coordinator/homeroom teacher. Click on the links below to print the forms if needed.
Research Plan (Word Document): The description of the Research Plan on Form 1A seems a bit daunting. Your child just needs to include 1) Hypothesis 2) Overview of the Project 3) Steps or procedures they will follow for the experiment on their own paper.
We are asking famiiles to submit this on Monday, December 6. If you can not make that deadline, please just let your teacher know.
