Science Fair Projects Due Tuesday, January 18

Science Fair projects for all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are due on Tuesday, January 18. Please remember that this is a graded assignment for students.

Make sure your presentation includes the following: Project Title, Problem, Hypothesis, Experiment, Data, Images, Results, Conclusion, and Next Time.

There are four stages for the Science Fair:
    • Classroom Presentation: You have the option to complete a poster board project and/or a digital presentation to present in class on Tuesday, January 18. Top finalists from each class will move onto the Bolton Academy Science Fair.
    • Bolton Academy: Finalists will display their classroom winning project (poster board or digital presentation) in the Media Center to be reviewed by our judges.
    • APS: If you advance to the District Science Fair, you will be required to have a digital presentation since the district competition will be virtual.
    • State: If you advance to State Science Fair, you will be required to have a poster board project.
Please reach out to Ms. Topper at felica.topper@atlanta.k12.ga.us or your teacher if you have any questions regarding science projects.

ALL 3-5 grade students must participate and parent involvement is required (see action item below).

K-2 grade students will complete classroom projects so parents do not need to complete any forms or review the following information.

Please review the 2021-22 Science and Engineering Fair Student Handbook HERE. It includes: Calendar of Events, School Level Due Dates, Student Display and Safety Regulations (includes what is NOT allowed for safety and display regulations), and a Science and Engineering Fair Rubic.
