The Atlanta Pride Committee is Georgia's oldest non-profit agency serving the LGBTQ community and serves as an advocate of, and resource to, gender and sexually diverse communities in Atlanta and the Southeastern United States. Our operations include the annual Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade in October as well as 60 other educational, social, and historical programs each year, as well as community reinvestment initiatives. The mission of the Atlanta Pride Committee is to advance unity, visibility, and wellness among persons with widely diverse gender and sexual identities through cultural, social, political, and educational programs and activities.

Atlanta Public Schools has 87 learning sites, including 58 neighborhood schools, 5 partner schools,19 charter schools, 2 citywide single-gender academies, and 3 alternative programs. The Atlanta Board of Education publicly declares its unwavering commitment to establishing Atlanta Public Schools as a safe, secure and welcoming space for all of its students. Therefore, Atlanta Public Schools is committed to supporting our LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and families. The Atlanta Pride Parade is just one way that our LGBTQIA+ can feel seen and supported.
