• My name is Sheryl Rogers-Cousins. I will be your child’s guide on this amazing journey in 2nd Grade. I attended Howard University and graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. I received a Master of Science degree in Urban Teacher Leadership in 2007 from Georgia State University. I began my teaching career in D.C. Public Schools where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years. I moved to Georgia in August of 2000. I taught First Grade in Gwinnett County for 2 years. I taught First Grade for 7 years and Third Grade for 2 years at Cook Elementary School. In 2012, Cook Elementary School closed and I began teaching at Boyd Elementary School. I taught Third Grade for 2 years. This will be my 3rd year teaching Second Grade.

    Our classroom theme is centered on “Space”. Space is an amazing place that grows and changes as we gain new information about it. We will be taking amazing journey this year. I am the Mission Commander and your students is an Astronaut.  This year, I will be challenging your child to
