Bolton's biggest night of the year promises to be our best ever! We'll have dancing, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and fantastic live and silent auction items. Tickets are $75 per person ($40 for teachers) and sponsorships begin at $100.
New this year! All bidding, ticket and sponsorship purchases, auction item payments and event check-in/check-out will be handled electronically through our online auction portal (you'll see a link on the SOFi's Night webpage). You'll be able to browse and bid online before the event begins, and you can share the auction site with friends and family who want to show their support, but can't attend the event in person. We promise you'll love it!
Our goal is to raise $60,000 this year so that SOFi can continue funding its yearly initiatives like IB training and cultural events, and fund new and exciting improvements at the school! Book your babysitter and start shopping for the perfect outfit. We can't wait to see everyone dressed to the nines!

Did you know that the PTA collects Box Tops to raise money for Bolton Academy? Every time your child takes 10 Box Tops to the office, they are given a token to choose a prize. As if that isn't exciting enough for them, from now until Friday, February 15, your child can also submit their name (with their teacher's name) to Ms. Gabriel and they will be entered into a raffle for an awesome prize! We would love to get as many Box Tops in as possible during this 5-week period to turn them into cash for our school. Please encourage your family and neighbors to be saving their Box Tops!
We did it! We made it through the first week back from break. We hope you and your family have gotten back into the rhythm and flow of school.
Report cards went home last week. If you haven't already, please return the report card envelope with your signature to your teachers. Also please review the report card with your child and follow up with your teacher if you have any questions about their development. We are proud of their progress and your involvement and engagement will only encourage them to keep up the good work.
I shared this last week, but I want to invite you again to our 2nd Semester Parent Empowerment Night on Thursday, January 24th. We will be dividing our four rotation groups based on grade levels so you will have the opportunity to hear questions and dialogue from parents surrounding your child's grade level. We will start check-in and free childcare drop off (Pre-K-5th) at 5:30 pm and start the sessions promptly at 6:00 pm. A free pizza dinner will be provided for both children and adults.
Our sessions will be led by Mr. Kemp, Ms. Ross, Ms. Scharff, Ms. Varner and myself. Ms. Scharff and I will be discussing Restorative Practices and how we are prioritizing and building a culture of learning that will positively impact student success. A key component of this priority is the effective implementation of Restorative Practices. We invite you to this discussion to learn more about what we are doing as a school and how you can support it at home. You won't want to miss any session as it will be filled with new information and some great take-home resources as well.
Finally, as a reminder, we will be closed next Monday, January 21st for Martin Luther King Jr Day.
