    Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome you and your child to the world of Kindergarten.  I am Mrs. Roman and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  Our room number is B40 and we are located on the first floor by the stairs. Your child will learn many new and exciting things. By the end of the year your child will be reading simple books, writing sentences, counting, adding subtracting and so much more. I look forward to working with your child this school year. If you ever have any questions about anything always feel free to talk with me. To make your school transition easier here are a few helpful tips:

    Breakfast: 7:25 -7:55a.m.

    School time: 8:00-2:30p.m.

Students are marked tardy after 8:00 and you must take them to the office for a tardy slip before they can enter the classroom. If your child is absent from school you must send a note upon their return explaining why they were absent. I have to turn it in to the office. Someone will probably call you if your child is not at school.

School uniform colors are white, navy blue or burgundy tops and navy blue or Khaki bottoms. Our classroom can become quite chilly during the day so I suggest that students bring a light jacket or sweater each day or you can leave it in the room.

Make sure that I know how your child will be getting home from school. If you change how your child gets home please put it in writing and put in the homework folder. Also students will have homework daily so make sure that you have crayons, glue, scissors and a pencil at home to complete assignments. Students will keep the school supplies in their desk because students will forget and leave them at home. I have prepared parents folders which will contain any school information or forms. Please return folders back they will be used throughout the school year.

I hope that we can get 100% participation from all families to join the P.T.A. it is only $5.00.  I am looking forward to a GREAT year with your child. If I haven’t met you yet please come by and introduce yourself to me. If you ever have any questions always feel free to talk with me.

    Thank you,

    Mrs. Roman
